"You've got dove problems - Part 2" by Edgar Castillo ( AKA Hunt Birdz ) is this weeks featured article on Gundog Central. You can use this link to read Edgar's article : https://gundogcentral.com/articles/6113/youe-got-dove-problems

About Edgar : Edgar Castillo is a recently retired law enforcement officer for a large Kansas City metropolitan agency. He also served in the United States Marine Corps.

Born in Guatemala, hunting was a new concept when Edgar came to the U.S. His passion lies in the uplands as he travels across public lands throughout Kansas or wherever the dirt road takes him…to hunt open fields, walk treelines, & bust through plum thickets in search of wild birds in wild places.

This fervid emotion for the uplands has since blossomed into a SIGNIFICANT social media presence. It has allowed Edgar to share his experiences and connect with other bird hunters through writing.

Hi,
I’m looking for reasonable tick prevention for my dogs. What are some effective solutions y’all use?
Thanks in advance.

Smoking Stump Farm - @smokingstumpfarm

I use Simperica and have had good luck. I live in southeast Georgia, not too far from the Okeefenokee Swamp. But if you plan to breed your dog, you need to take them off of it 2-3 weeks prior to breeding.

Gun Dog Chat - @gundogchat

Hi Sarah. We give our dogs NexGuard Plus, it's prevention for both Fleas and Ticks, plus Heartworms, Hookworms and Roundworms. You do have to have a prescription. It works great for our dogs, but I'm not sure how reasonable priced it is. Usually if you buy several months at a time, they'll offer a discount. If you need something cheaper, you might try a Fipronil based product, like PetArmor.
