New featured article on Gundog Central this week by Edgar Castillo ( aka Hunt_Birdz ). Edgar walks us through Dove prep in the field with his article DOVES: From the Field, to Cleaning, to Eating. You can read Edgar article on Gundog Central using this link : https://gundogcentral.com/articles/5732/doves-from-the-field-to-cleaning-to-eating
About Edgar : Edgar Castillo is a recently retired law enforcement officer for a large Kansas City metropolitan agency. He also served in the United States Marine Corps.
Born in Guatemala, hunting was a new concept when Edgar came to the U.S. His passion lies in the uplands as he travels across public lands throughout Kansas or wherever the dirt road takes him…to hunt open fields, walk treelines, & bust through plum thickets in search of wild birds in wild places.
This fervid emotion for the uplands has since blossomed into a SIGNIFICANT social media presence. It has allowed Edgar to share his experiences and connect with other bird hunters through writing.

Dont miss your chance to win one of these great SportDOG training systems. If you're selected as the winner, you'll get to pick which one of these fine system you receive. You can pick from The New Field Sentential 1825 with health monitoring, The Wetlandhunter Camo 1825, The HoundHunter 3225 with reflective collars or The UplandHunter 1875 with Beeper Collar. To be eligible for this contest, you only need to create at least one post, on Gun Dog Chat ( https://gundogchat.com ) during the month of September. The more you post, the better your chances of winning. I’ll compile a list of all post made during the month of September and the winner will be randomly selected from the list. One post equals one entry, ten post equals ten entries. I've even added a new poll question, What's your favorite brand hunting vest?

I love Sportdog💞
I could really use this. Mine finally died after 7 years. Hook an old guy up.
I had this girl pointing birds her 1st year. Then I had heart surgery. When I recovered, I assumed that I could just pick up where I left off. BIG MISTAKE! I started blasting birds over her and I had a gun shy-bird-shy dog. Don't do what I did! I almost gave up on her. Then I ordered The Perfect GunShy Fix video. Now I don't work for them or receive anything for this. But it worked! I have been working birddogs most of my 67 years. I have had very little success curing gun shyness. But it worked and I have started shooting birds over her again this season. She is again a happy hunter.
