2 users interacted with this post.The 2023 MN season came to an end yesterday but could not have asked for a better ending. Put a limit in the game bag one final time over a couple hardworking ladies. Will be back out in a couple months getting ready for the cover dog trials.

@gundogchat it starts in mid September for MN. I am in Nodak so it's around a 6 hour round trip to hit the closest grouse covers each weekend. I am lucky to have an understanding wife!

What’s everyone’s opinions on their pups whining? Should measures be taken to try to stray away from it? Will it go away or lessen as they get older?

@celwood22gmailcom What a great photo! I haven't worked with many retrievers, but I think you gotta let pups be puppies. I don't think I'd correct for whining at a young age.

Fun dog. He’s so tall and lengthy - like a middle schooler that is six foot five. But he crashes the cover with grace and has a mule deer in flight gait.
Awesome dog we bought from Rocky Point Kennels in Billings, Montana.
